Whether it is a public event or private function, chances are that someone, somewhere, somehow, will become sick or injured. Event organisers have a duty of care to prepare for those unexpected emergencies. Red Medical specialises in providing first aid and medical care at events of any size. Our medical risk assessment and event profiling systems help determine appropriate staff and resource requirements for your event. Red Medical is the culmination of decades of experience from the medical event industry’s most progressive managers. Our experienced event managers have managed a wide range of events from small through to large, including almost all of Australia’s largest public events. Operating as an Australia wide solution for events, Red Medical is fully insured with both public liability and professional indemnity insurance. The Red Medical Team
Red Medical recruit staff from a range of health care disciplines. Qualifications held range from a minimum of Advanced / Level 3 First Aid, through to Emergency, Intensive Care Doctors. Our staff are trained and experience providing high level of clinical skills to events. The majority of Red Medical staff deployed at your event are likely to be ‘First Responders’, who are qualified to provide high standards of initial care to your staff or patrons. We believe that this level of training is vital to be able to properly differentiate between patients who may be treated on site (and returned back to your event) from patients who require transport to hospital. Red Medical ensures that all of our staff are properly qualified and maintain relevant clearances including police and working with children checks. All Red Medical staff wear our uniform, which includes high visibility vests as required.

STEP 1
PLAN & ASSESS
Providing as much information about your event allows us to fully understand your event. Our experience of similar events and our risk assessment methodology will provide you with a comprehensive first aid or medical response plan for your event. Information we need includes size / layout, number of patrons and competitors, previous event injuries, weather, duration, scheduled at risk activities.
STEP 2
EVENT DAY
It’s your event day. RedMed staff will hit the ground running:
- Arrive fully equipped
- Be prepared to respond
- Establish communication with key event staff (eg security)
- Ensure clear access / egress for emergency vehicles
- Manage all injuries and illness
- Refer people to ambulance, hospital or local GP if required
- Inform you of arising safety issues that have need attention
STEP 3
POST EVENT REPORT
Red Medical will provide you details on all patients we treat. We ask patients to sign patient reports consenting for a copy of the patient report form to be provided to you as the event organiser for safety and insurance purposes. We will also provide a brief post event report where applicable. This enhances future event planning and continuous improvement.
